Police investigated a report that someone fired a gun at Greenwood Street and Dodge Avenue at 2:15 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8. Nothing was found in the area.

Arrests: Possession of Cannabis, Violating an Order of Protection

Joseph R. Lugosch, 23, of the 800 block of Madison in Evanston, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis at 2:24 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, according to police.

Samuel Festus Miller, 75, who told police he is homeless, was arrested and charged with violating an order of protection in the 2200 block of Lake Street at 2:34 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, according to police.

Roderick S. Webber, 37, of the 2000 block of Wesley Avenue, was arrested and charged with violating an order of protection at his home at 8:20 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, police reported.

Burglaries Reported on South, Florence, Pioneer, Austin

Someone stole a 15-inch Apple laptop computer from a home in the 800 block of South Boulevard between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, according to police.

Two men entered a home in the 1600 block of Florence Avenue through an unlocked window around 5:14 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, according to police.

Someone entered an unlocked home in the 2200 block of Pioneer and stole a wallet between 7 and 11:06 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, police reported.

Someone broke glass to enter an apartment in the 700 block of Austin Street between 8 a.m. and 7:38 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, according to police. Two passports and two social security cards were reported missing, according to police.

Known Offender Steals Laptop Computer, Cell Phone

A known male offender stole a laptop computer and a Galaxy cell phone from an apartment in the 700 block of Reba Place between 6 and 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, police reported.

Car Burglaries On Central, Hartrey

Someone entered an unlocked car parked in the 2900 block of Central Street at 7 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, police reported.

Someone used a took to break into a car parked in a driveway in the 1900 block of Hartrey Street and steal tools and equipment between 7:38 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, and 11 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, police reported.

Bike Stolen On Oakton, Elmwood

Someone stole tools and a Schwinn bicycle with a burgundy frame, green fenders and a basket on the front from an unlocked garage in the 1700 block of Oakton Street between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, police reported.

Someone stole a 26-inch men’s Monterey bicycle that was left unlocked in a yard in the 1100 block of Elmwood Avenue at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2, according to police.

Graffiti Appears on Monroe

Graffiti appeared on a garage in the 1400 block of Monroe Street between 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, and 7 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, according to police.
