Gunfire Reported On Grey Avenue

Police investigated a report that someone fired a gun in the 1700 block of Grey Avenue at 10:14 p.m. Friday, May 17, according to police. Nothing was found in the area.

Man With Gun Reported On Church

A woman told police that a man came out of the bushes in the 1300 block of Chuch Street and pointed a gun at her at 2:10 a.m. Sunday, May 19, according to police. She told police she ran away before anything else happened.

Gun Reported in Car at Elmwood and Dempster

Someone told police that he or she saw one person pass a gun to another person in a 2007 Chrysler at Elmwood and Dempster around 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 17, according to police. 

Arrests: Telephone Harrassment, Battery

Rigoberto Baiza, 47, of the 900 block of Grey Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with telephone harassment at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 17, in the 300 block of Florence Avenue, according to police.

Michael Demaret, 20, of the 8200 block of Knox in Skokie, was arrested and charged with battery at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16, in the 1600 block of Mulford Street, police reported.

Princess K. Moton Boyd, 21, of the 2000 block of Warren in Evanston, was arrested and charged with battery at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16, in the 1600 block of Mulford Street, police reported. 

Kelvin J. Nails, 27, of the 800 block of Mansfield Court in Schaumburg, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault at 4:20 p.m. Saturday, May 18, in the 1900 block of Brown Avenue, according to police. 

Car Stolen From Ridge Avenue

A 2002 Toyota RAV4 with the license plate 2715081 was stolen from the parking lot of a business in the 300 block of Ridge Avenue between 7 p.m. Monday, May 6, and 2:54 p.m. Saturday, May 18, police reported. 

Laptops Stolen in Burglaries On Brown, Dodge

Two men slashed the kitchen screen at a home in the 800 block of Brown Avenue between noon and 1:45 p.m. Saturday, May 18, and stole a Toshiba laptop computer, a backpack with its contents and an Apple iPad, according to police. 

Someone stole a Macbook Pro Laptop computer from a home in the 1800 block of Dodge Avenue between 10 p.m. Thursday, May 16, and 6:30 a.m. Friday, May 17, police reported. 

Garage Burglaries Reported On Pitner

Someone forced entry to two garages in the 1200 block of Pitner Avenue between 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 18, and 7:15 a.m. Sunday, May 19, according to police. Nothing was reported missing. 

Car Burglaries On Thayer, Darrow

Someone stole a Garmin GPS unit with car charger from an unlocked 2010 Subaru parked in a driveway in the 3200 block of Thayer Street between 9:30 p.m. Friday, May 17, and 8:30 a.m. Saturday, May 18, according to police.

Someone stole an Apple iPad and brown briefcase with its contents from an unlocked 2006 Land Rover in the 1700 block of Darrow Avenue between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. Friday, May 17, police reported.

Sign Stolen From Post On Ridge

Someone broke the sign for Chicago Zen Center off a post in the 2000 block of Ridge Avenue between 4:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16, and 6:30 a.m. Friday, May 17, police reported. 

Wallet Stolen From Locked Locker

Someone stole a black leather wallet with its contents from a locked locker in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue around 6:45 p.m. Friday, May 17, police reported. 

Broken Window On Dodge

Someone broke the window of a home in the 500 block of Dodge Avenue between 6:30 Friday, May 17, and 8:58 a.m. Saturday, May 18, police reported.

Graffiti Found On Callan

Graffiti appeared in the common area of a condo or apartment building in the 200 block of Callan Avenue between 5:15 p.m. Friday, May 17, and 5:30 p.m. Saturday, May 18, according to police.
