Gunfire Reported on Hovland Court

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:

Gunfire Reported on Hovland Court
Police investigated a report that someone fired a gun at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, in the 1700 block of Hovland Court, according to police. Nothing was found in the area. 

Arrests: DUI, Theft Over $500, Battery
Conrad John Gonzales, 45, who told police he is homeless, was arrested and charged with two counts of theft over $500 at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, in the 500 block of Custer, according to police.

Dinika Mone Lawrence, 24, of the 1400 block of Grey Avenue in Evanston, was charged with resisting arrest at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, at his home, police said.

A 38-year-old Evanston man was arrested and charged with domestic battery, according to police.

Mpoyi Mitondo, 36, of the 1400 block of Chicago Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with battery at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, in the 1700 block of Orrington Avenue, according to police.

John Sampath, 60, of the 9500 block of North Laramie in Skokie, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at 5:58 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, in the 1900 block of McDaniel Avenue, according to police. 

Pickpockets Take Wallet On Train
Two men stole a woman's wallet from her purse at the CTA station in the 800 block of Chicago venue between 6:15 and 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, according to police.

Man Takes Apple Laptop Computer
A man stole an Apple laptop computer from a home in the 1200 block of Noyes Street between 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, according to police.

Women Steal 100 Credit Card Gift Cards
Three women stole approximately 100 Visa and Mastercard gift cards from a grocery store in the 1900 block of Dempster Street between 5:42 and 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, police reported. 

Thief Steals Checks From Junkyard
Someone stole checks from the office of a junkyard in the 2500 block of Oakton Street between 8 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, according to police. 

Window Damaged on Foster Street
Someone damaged the window of an apartment in the 1600 block of Foster Street between 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, and 5:13 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, according to police.
