Police investigated a report that someone had fired a gun in the 900 block of Michigan Avenue at 3 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1. Nothing was found in the area.

Arrests: DUI, Possession of a Controlled Substance

Jenny B. Hammeed, 40, who told police she was homeless, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance at 10:24 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, in the 1700 block of Orrington Avenue, according to police.

Robert Louis Hammond, 22, of the 1800 block of Main Street in Evanston, and Dametre Gemal Irby, 21, of the 1700 block of Simpson Street in Evanston, were arrested and charged with possession of an open container of alcohol in a vehicle at 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, in the 1800 block of Main Street, police reported. 

Sierrio J. Larry, 23, of the 10000 block of West Holly Lane in Des Plaines, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance at 4:23 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, in the 700 block of Dobson Street, police reported. 

Rodolfo Ramirez, 29, of the 1000 block of Dodge Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at 4:57 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, in the 700 block of Main Street, according to police.

Andre Michael Watkins, 23, of the 700 block of Reba Place in Evanston, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of ammunition at 4:23 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, in the 700 block of Dobson Street, according to police.

Bruce E. Wells, 50, of the 5600 block of North Ridge Avenue in Chicago, was arrested and charged with violation of an order of protection at the police station at 4:23 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, police reported. 

David C. Wiener, 45, of the 3000 block of Wakefield in Carpentersville, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, according to police.

Tires and Rims Stolen From Jaguar

Someone stole four wheels, including the tires and rims, from a 1994 Jaguar parked at Dempster Street and Hartrey Avenue between 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, and 7:15 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, according to police.

Honda Damaged on Chicago Avenue

Someone damaged the front passenger window of a 2000 Honda parked in the 1400 block of Chicago Avenue at 10:50 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, according to police.

Woman Steals Pepsi In Retail Theft

A woman stole a liter of Pepsi from a drug store in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue at 6:20 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, police reported.
