Have You Seen This SUV? EPD Says It’s Connected to Dodge Ave. Shooting

The Evanston Police Department has released a photo and is asking the public for help identifying it.

Evanston police have released a picture of a blue SUV that they believe was involved in Tuesday afternoon’s shooting in the 2000 block of Dodge Avenue.

The image was taken from surveillance video nearby, police said. The vehicle has preliminarily been identified as a Hyundai Tucson and may be a rental.

The shooting took place just before 1 p.m. The victim was hit in the leg and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are asking anyone with information about the vehicle or shooting to call the detective bureau at 847-866-5040 or use the anonymous text-a-tip program by texting to CRIMES (274637) with EPD TIP in the message line followed by the tip information.
