Home Invasion Suspects Sought Money for Drugs

About four or five men entered a home on Judson Street and took money they said they needed for drugs.

The Evanston police department is looking for about four or five men who broke into a home on the 600 block of Judson and demanded money from the people inside.

Police said the men forced their way into the home and shouted "it's a fire in back," in an attempt to distract the victims. The victims said the offenders then proceeded to rummage through their drawers looking for valuable items.

"One of the offenders then told the victims they needed money for drugs, and asked the victims if they had any money," said the EPD in a press release. "At this time one of the offenders removed a small amount of money from the male victims’ pants pocket. During the commotion the female victim attempted to call the police, but the phone was taken from her and was rendered inoperable."
