House Fire Causes $50,000 Worth of Damage

No injuries reported in morning blaze.

Fire crews responded to a fire at around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning at a single family home at 1632 Forest Place. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

The fire was contained to the basement of the home, fire officials said. Two residents were in the home at the time, but they have been accounted for and there were no reported injuries at the scene.

The people in the home have been temporarily displaced, and damages are estimated at about $50,000, according to the Evanston Fire Department.
