Kristin Cavallari Ticketed For Speeding in Evanston

The wife of Bears quarterback Jay Cutler was ticketed for driving without a valid Illinois license in Evanston Friday morning.

Kristin Cavallari, wife of Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, was ticketed for speeding in Evanston Friday morning, according to police.

Police stopped Cavallari as she was headed northbound on Sheridan Road near Calvary Cemetery, according to Evanston Police Cmdr. Jason Parrott. She was issued a ticket for excessive speed, although Parrott said police are not releasing how fast she was going.

The posted speed limit on that section of Sheridan Road is 30 miles per hour.

It was a normal traffic stop in most respects, according to Parrott, but things got complicated because Cavallari has a California license, not an Illinois driver's license. That detail required her to go to the station and post bond, according to Parrott.

"Who knew having a California drivers license in Illinois was a CRIME to be escorted to the police station to post bail?!! What a morning" she tweeted from @KristinCav Friday morning.

Cavallari and Cutler live in a five-bedroom, 9-bathroom Winnetka home that rents for $10,000.

FYI...I still have an apartment in LA so I'm a resident of California," Cavallari tweeted later.

You've been in Illinois how long but haven't bothered to get an Illinois license? Can't afford the $30? Oh wait, you're a celebrity married to an NFL quaterback so the rules don't apply to you. Go back to California. And take Jay with you. Please!
