Laptop Stolen From Car in Residential Garage

Simple battery

Robert E. Belisle, 47, of Evanston, was charged with simple battery on Sept. 23.

Retail theft

Barry A. Marquez II, 28, of Evanston, was arrested and charged with retail theft after police said he stole clothing from a store in the 2400 block of Main St. at 5 p.m. Sept. 23.

Jordan M. Leff, 60, of Evanston, was arrested and charged with retail theft after police said he stole hygiene products from a pharmacy in the 1700 block of Sherman Ave. at 12:45 p.m. Sept. 23.

Burglary from a motor vehicle

Someone broke the window of a 2013 Ford and stole a laptop computer between 6:30 p.m. Sept. 19 and 6:45 a.m. Sept. 20. The care was in a residential garage in the 800 block of Hinman Ave.

Theft

Someone stole an unlocked bicycle from a yard in the 1400 block of Lee St. between 11 p.m. Sept. 22 and 7 a.m. Sept. 23.

A man stole mail from the common area of an apartment building in the 2000 block of Sherman Ave. at 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 23.

Criminal damage to property

Someone wrote graffiti at Church and Ashland at 10:45 a.m. Sept. 23.
