Laptop Stolen From Car, Strong-Arm Robbery Reported

Strong-arm robbery

Nicholas Rashawn McKire, 17, of Evanston, was charged with strong-arm robbery at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 22

Man with a gun

An unknown man reached into his pocket as if he had a gun at 3 p.m. on the street at Oakton and Dodge on Dec. 18.

Shots fired

Shots were reported fired in the 1600 block of Greenwood at 10:30 p.m. Dec. 23. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Simple battery

James L. Taylor, 57, of Skokie, was charged with simple battery on Dec. 25.

Criminal damage to vehicle

A vehicle’s was scratched and it’s windshield was smashed while in a residential driveway in the 400 block of Darrow Ave. overnight Dec. 23.

Burglary

A backpack and decorations, including a stuffed snowman decoration, were stolen from the common area of an apartment building overnight Christmas Eve in the 1400 block of Ridge.

Burglary to a motor vehicle

Someone entered a vehicle through an unlocked door and stole cash between Dec. 23 at 4 p.m. and Dec 24 at 3:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Grant St.

Someone entered a vehicle through an unlocked door and stole a laptop and power cord between 5-9 a.m. on Dec. 23 in the 1700 block of Brown Ave.

Retail theft

Markus Richard Reinhart, 49, of Chicago was charged with retail theft for stealing clothing from a department store in the 2400 block of Main St. at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 23.

Keith T. Nguyen, 19, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft Dec. 22.

Theft under $500

A woman left a gas station without paying at 2:45 p.m. Dec. 25 in the 700 block of Dobson St.

Criminal damage to property

Someone wrote graffiti at a park in the 2700 block of Poplar Ave. at 10:45 a.m. Dec. 22.

A man broke the glass door of an apartment building common area in the 700 block of Dobson St. at 9 a.m. Dec. 25.

Criminal Defacement

Someone wrote graffiti on the train right-of-way property at Poplar and Central at 5:15 p.m. Dec. 23.

DUI

Jose A. Abonce, 21, of Chicago, was charged with DUI in the 1900 block of Brummel Dec. 24 at 9 p.m.

Andre M. Botbamal, 39, of Zion, was charged with DUI in the 2500 block of Sheridan Rd. at 5:40 a.m. Dec. 25.

Obstruction

Chantal M. Cannon, 23, of Chicago, was charged with obstruction Dec. 24.
