Lawsuit Filed Against Evanston, Skokie and Police Officers by Suburban Man

Unspecified damages are being sought by a Skokie man who alleges he was beaten and injured by police officers from Evanston and Skokie, CBS 2 reports.

A suburban Chicago man filed a lawsuit Tuesday against Evanston, Skokie and police officers from both towns whom he alleges beat him so badly, that a metal plate had to be inserted in his head and a tear in his right eye repaired, CBS 2 reports.

Skokie resident Abdul Elijah Memminger claims he was in Skokie when an Evanston police officer struck him twice in the head with the butt of a gun during the course of a foot chase, and according to the article, he was later kicked by a Skokie officer who encountered the scene.
