Man Arrested With Gun at 7-Eleven On Dodge

Police arrested a 27-year-old Evanston man and charged him with unlawful use of a weapon.

Police arrested an Evanston man at the 7-Eleven on Dodge Avenue after they allegedly found him sitting in the parking lot with a loaded handgun.

Sean D. Rattray, 27, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, a class four felony, according to a press release from Police Cmdr. Perry Polinski. 

Police were called to the scene when someone telephoned 9-1-1 to report that there was a man in the parking lot with a gun, according to Polinski. Officers recovered a .38 caliber handgun, he added.

Rattray is scheduled to appear in Cook County Circuit Court on July 13.
