Man Charged With Failing to Register as a Sex Offender, Police Say

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department: 

Arrests: Failure to Register As a Sex Offender, Etc.

Arthur Cox, 48, of the 1900 block of Howard Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with failure to register as a sex offender at 11:24 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, according to police.

Carl Hubert Dennison, 30, of the 1400 block of Foster Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing in the 2000 block of Darrow Avenue at 1:20 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, police reported.

Walter Cortland Kenner, 55, of the 1900 block of Hartrey Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with violating an alcohol ordinance at 6:10 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, in the 1700 block of McDaniel Avenue, according to police.

Wesley Albert Woodson, 50, of the 1700 block of Ashland Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm without a valid firearm owner’s identification at 2:36 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, at the Evanston Police station, according to police. 

Car Burglar Steals Cash, iPod

Someone stole cash and an iPod from an unlocked 2008 Toyota parked in the 1400 block of Greenleaf Street between 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, and 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, police reported. 

Thief Steals Phone From Hospital

Someone stole a black Android Motorola smart phone worth more than $500 from the patient room of a hospital in the 2600 block of Ridge Avenue between 3 and 3:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, police reported. 

Two Men Throw Rocks On Ridge

Two men threw rocks at a 2009 Pontiac at Ridge Avenue and Hull Terrace at 5:51 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, according to police.

Vandal Scratches Honda On Garrison

Someone scratched a 2003 Honda that was parked in an alley in the 2800 block of Garrison Avenue between 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, and 7 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, according to police.
