Glenview Man, 26 Died After Falling On CTA Tracks at Howard

A man in his 20s fell to his death around 7:30 p.m. at the Howard Street CTA station.

Update, Monday afternoon:

A 26-year-old Glenview resident died after falling onto the third rail at the Howard Street CTA station Sunday night, according to authorities.

A representative of the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed that the man's name was Jeffery Lavalle, and said he lived in the 1700 block of Harrison Street in Glenview.

The cause of death was ruled to be accidental electrocution, according to the medical examiner's office.

The man was taken to St. Francis Hospital in critical condition, where he later died, according to the Tribune.
