Several tools were reported stolen from a store in the 2300 block of Oakton Street on March 28. The suspect was described as a white male, about 5-foot-8 and 180-pounds, police said.

A bottle of water was reported stolen from a grocery store in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue on March 24.
Residential burglary
A dell laptop was reported stolen from a home in the 800 block of Monroe Street on March 27. The offender(s) gained entry by breaking through a door, the report stated.
Business burglary
Cash was reported stolen from a business in the 1900 block of Church Street on March 26.
Garage burglary
A GPS device was reported stolen from a residential garage in the 1800 block of Laurel Avenue on March 26.
Tip money stolen
Cash was stolen from a tip jar at a store in the 1500 block of Sherman Avenue on March 28.
Stolen bike
A 40-plus-year-old bicycle was reported stolen from the 2700 block of Green Bay Road on March 28. The bike was left unsecured and unattended, police said.
Man holds knife to victim's neck in robbery
A man entered a home in the 1700 block of Grey Avenue, held a knife to the homeowner's neck and demanded money on March 27 around 7:26 p.m., police said.
The victim is believed to be known to the offender, the report stated. It is unclear how much cash was stolen. The suspect was described as a black male, about 5-foot-5 and a 170-pounds, according to the report. No further details were provided.
Retail theft
Charles Dennis, 45, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft on March 27. Dennis was arrested in the 2200 block of Howard Street around 11:25 a.m., police said.

David Lyle Jutovsky, 42, of Evanston, was charged with retail theft on March 28. Jutovsky was arrested in the 2300 block of Oakton Street around 12:35 p.m., police said.
