Man Pointed Weapon at Victim, Police Say

Thomas Wendell Haywood, 47, of the 1400 block of Pitner Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault at his home after he pointed a weapon at his victim at 12:39 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, according to police.

Man Charged With Battery On Oakton

Carl Point du Jour, 40, of the 200 block of Custer Street, was arrested and charged with battery after he grabbed his victim, then threw him to the ground at a gas station in the 2400 block of Oakton Street at 2:14 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, police reported.

Chicago Man Charged With Disorderly Conduct

Andre D. Kennedy, 34, of the 1300 block of West Estes in Chicago, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, at the intersection of Winchester and Fargo, according to police. 

Burglar Steals Laptops, Xbox, TV

Someone damaged the rear kitchen window of a home in the 300 block of Asbury Avenue between 9:15 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, and stole three Apple laptop computers, a Microsoft Xbox gaming system and an Nsignia 37-inch flat-screen TV, police reported. 

Car Burglary Steals Cash On Main Street

Someone entered an unlocked 2000 Ford that was parked in the 1500 block of Main Street and stole cash between 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, and 8 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, according to police.

Gunfire Reported On Lake Street

Police investigated a report that someone had fired a gun in the 2400 block of Lake Street at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29. Nothing was found in the area. 

Catalytic Converters Stolen at Dodge Avenue Auto Shop

Someone stole catalytic converters from a 1993 and 1994 Chevrolet at an auto garage in the 1400 block of Dodge Avenue between 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, and 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, police reported. During that same period of time, someone also tried to steal a catalytic converter from a 1990 Volvo at the same garage. 

Bike Stolen On Sheridan Road

Someone stole a 20-speed road bicycle with white trim and white wheels that was locked to a rack in the 2000 block of Sheridan Road at 12 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, according to police. 

Retail Theft: Rib Eye Steaks, Lamb Chops, Hygiene Products

Dwight Hudson, 58, of the 1900 block of Sherman Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with retail theft stole after he stole two rib eye steaks and one lamb chop from the Whole Foods at 1640 Chicago Avenue at 4:54 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, police reported. 

Anna Claire George, 19, of the 6400 block of North Sheridan Road in Chicago, was arrested and charged with retail theft after she stole hygiene products from the Whole Foods at 1640 Chicago Ave. at 2:12 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, according to police.

Cash Stolen From Locker On Main Street

Someone stole cash from an unlocked locker in the 1700 block of Main Street at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, police reported.
