Man Shoots at Car on Jackson

The following arrests and incidents were reported by Evanston Police:

Man Shoots at Car on Jackson

A unknown male offender shot at the driver's side door of a car in the 1900 block of Jackson Avenue at 5:13 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, according to police.

Arrests: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Etc.
Marie J. Brewster, 53, of the 1800 block of Lyons Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with violation of bond at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, according to police.

Arron West Covington, 26, of the 2700 block of Marcy Avenue, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis at 4:25 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, in the 1700 block of Simpson, police reported.

Joaquin Hernando, 48, and Javier Ibarra, 31, of the 6800 block of North Ridge Avenue in Chicago, were arrested and charged with theft after they stole black patio chairs from a porch in the 1400 block of Brummel Street between 3:15 and 3:33 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, police reported.

Gordon Claude Joseph, 19, of the 4800 block of North Winthrop in Chicago, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon at 1:22 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, in the 2100 block of Jackson Avenue, according to police.

Robert Manning, 26, of the 8100 block of South Maryland in Chicago, was arrested and charged with battery at 9:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, in the 800 block of Clark Street, police reported.

Daniel Adam May, 31, of the 1500 block of West Monroe in Chicago, was arrested and charged with battery in the 1600 block of Central Street at 7:40 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, according to police.

Chris Daquan Ramsey, 18, of the 2000 block of Darrow in Evanston, was arrested and charged with battery at 3:40 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, in the 1900 block of Lake Street, according to police.

Kelli C. Rogers, 27, of the 2200 block of Crain Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at 4:57 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, in the 2800 block of Golf, police reported.

Victor E. Thornton, 48, of the 1300 block of West Estes in Chicago, was arrested and charged with assault at 2:18 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, in the 2000 block of Ridge Avenue, according to police. 

Gunfire Reported on Barton, Asbury
Evanston police investigated a report that someone fired a gun in the 4000 block of Barton Avenue between 10:45 and 11 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15. Nothing was found in the area.

Evanston police investigated a report that someone fired a gun at Asbury and Harvard at 12:55 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 17. Nothing was found in the area. 

Thief Steals Car Using Spare Key
Someone stole a blue 2003 Honda Accord with the license plate AKL4115 from the 800 block of Hinman Avenue by accessing a spare key in the car at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, according to police.

Diamond Rings, Cash Stolen From Dresser Drawer
A woman stole watches, diamond rings, 30 $100 bills and an unknown number of checks from a dresser drawer at a home in the 2000 block of Church Street at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, police reported. 

Woman Steals $1,100 in Cash From Bedroom
A woman stole $1,100 in cash from a bedroom in the 2000 block of Church Street between 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, and 4 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15, according to police.

Burglar Takes XBox, TV, Pillow and Food 
Someone stole an XBox gaming system, Toshiba 32-inch flat screen television, video game controller, pillow and food from an unlocked apartment in the 1900 block of Maple Avenue between 12 and 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, according to police. 

Car Burglaries Reported on Howard, Fowler
Someone used a rock to break the rear window of a 2006 Toyota parked in the 1800 block of Howard Street and stole an Apple laptop missing the tab key between 1 and 3:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15, according to police.

Someone broke the door of a 2002 Chevrolet parked in an alley in the 1200 block of Fowler Avenue and stole tools between 6 and 7:15 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, police reported.

Pickpocket Takes Wallet From Purse
Someone stole a rectangular brown leather wallet with zipper from a woman's purse while it was on her shoulder at a restaurant in the 500 block of Main Street at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, according to police. 

Bikes Stolen on Davis, Church
Someone stole a black, white and gray cruiser with white wall tires that was left unlocked at a medical office in the 900 block of Davis Street at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, according to police.

Someone stole a blue and white 14-speed men's Schwinn bicycle that was locked to a storage rack at Church Street and Sherman Avenue between 12 and 4:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, police reported. 

Retail Thefts Reported on Howard, Chicago
A man stole from a department store in the 2200 block of Howard Street between 4 and 4:15 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, according to police.

A man stole from a grocery store in the 2400 block of Howard Street at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, police reported.

Two women stole a bottle of New York 1 alcohol from a grocery store in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, according to police.

Vandals Break Hood Ornament Off Jaguar
A man and a woman broke the hood ornament off a 2004 Jaguar parked in the 400 block of Lee Street between Nov. 9 and 12, according to police.
