A man was shot in his right thigh while sitting in his car on the 700 block of Dewey Avenue in Evanston.
Police said the shooting occurred on Tuesday at 12:30 a.m. Police were called to the scene on a report of shots fired with a possible person struck.
Evanston Police Cmdr. Tom Guenther said the victim was responsive but did not cooperate with responding officers. He was taken to a local hospital and police are currently investigating the situation.
