Man Stabbed Following Brawl on Howard

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:

Man Stabs Victim in Chest on Howard
An unknown offender stabbed someone in the chest in the 700 block of Howard Street at 11:54 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, according to police. 

The Daily Northwestern reports that the victim was a 34-year-old Chicago man, who was stabbed when a fight broke out following an art gallery reception in the 700 block of Howard Street. 

The man did not realize he was hurt until the fight ended, and was taken to St. Francis Hospital, where he is in stable condition, the Daily reports. 

Armed Robbers Steal Phone on Howard
Two men held up a weapon and stole someone's phone in the 500 block of Howard Street at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, according to police. 

Gunfire Reported on Brown, Darrow
Evanston police investigated a report that someone fired a gun at Brown Avenue and Church Street at 6:03 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, according to police. Nothing was found in the area. 

Police also investigated a report that someone fired a gun at Darrow Avenue and Foster Street at 7:04 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10. Nothing was found in the area, according to police.

Woman Pushes Victim On Sherman
A known female offender pushed her victim in an apartment or condo common area in the 1900 block of Sherman Avenue between 4:30 and 4:40 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, according to police. 

Burglar Steals Jewelry, Gift Cards From Church
Someone stole a gold men's watch, $150 in cash, a $100 gift card, $25 gift card, iPod and 1,200 Euros (about $1,700) from a church in the 2000 block of Orrington Avenue between Oct. 28 and Nov. 10, according to police. 

Burglaries Reported on Clark, Emerson, Ridge
A man smashed the glass door of a business in the 800 block of Clark Street and stole a 27-inch silver Apple desktop computer between 5 and 5:07 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, police reported.

Someone broke into the backdoor of a home in the 1400 block of Emerson Street and stole an XBox gaming system at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, according to police. 

Someone damaged the outside lock of an apartment in the 200 block of Ridge Avenue at 9:52 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, according to police. 

Desktop Computer, Pillows Stolen On Hartrey
Someone stole a black Dell desktop computer and pillows with shams from an apartment or condo common area in the 1300 block of Hartrey Avenue at 6:39 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, according to police. 

Thief Breaks Open Display Case, Steals Phone
Someone broke open a display case at a store in the 300 block of Howard Street and stole a demo Samsung smartphone between 9 and 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, according to police. 

Thief Unzips Pocket, Steals Wallet
A woman unzipped a man's pocket, then stole his wallet at a grocery store in the 2400 block of Main Street at 1:18 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, according to police.

Cash, North Face Jacket and Ray Bans Stolen From Locker
Someone stole cash, a wallet, a black and grey North Face jacket and Ray Ban sunglasses from an unlocked locker in the 1600 block of Sherman AVenue between 3:30 and 5:20 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, according to police. 

Briefcase, iPad, Blackberry Stolen at Hilton Orrington
Someone stole a Blackberry cell phone, Apple iPad, briefcase, digital voice recorder and checkbook that were left unattended at the Hilton Orrington Hotel in the 1700 block of Orrington Avenue between 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, and 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, according to police. 

Wallet Stolen From Evanston Hospital
Someone stole a black leather wallet with a silver zipper from a hospital in the 2600 block of Ridge Avenue between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, police reported. 

Woman Pours Sugar in Gas Tank
A woman poured sugar in the gas tank of a 2001 Buick parked in the 700 block of Dobson Street at 4:03 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, according to police.

Couple Damages Door With Paint Gun
A man and woman damaged the door of a garage in the 2000 block of Keeney Street with a paint gun, leaving yellow paint marks between 9 and 10:45 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, according to police. 

Woman Steals Headphones on Main
Monica Castillo-Thomas, 44, of the 5800 block of North Spaulding in Chicago, was arrested and charged with retail theft after she stole Sony headphones and two Bluetooth earpieces from a department store in the 2400 block of Main Street at 5:22 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, police reported. 

Graffiti Appears On Clark, Howard
Graffiti appeared on railroad property at Clark Street and Oak Avenue at 3:31 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, according to police.

Graffiti appeared in an apartment or condo common area in the 400 block of Howard Street between midnight and 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, according to police.
