Man Swipes Cash From Purse at Church

Arrests: Criminal Trespass to a Vehicle, Domestic Battery

A 33-year-old Evanston man was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 9:39 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, police reported.

Wayne R. Russell, 45, of the 800 block of 8th Street in Northfield, was arrested and charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle at 5:34 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, in the 1900 block of Dempster Street, according to police. 

Man Steals Cash From Purse at Church

A man stole cash from a church in the 500 block of Church Street between 10:48 and 11:15 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, according to police. 

Thief Steals More Than $500 in Electronics From Doctor’s Office

Someone stole more than $500 in Apple electronics from a medical office in the 1000 block of Central Street between 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, and 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, according to police.

Thief Steals Backpack From Locker

Someone stole a backpack with its contents from a locked gym locker in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue between 7:15 and 8:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, according to police. 

Bikes Stolen On Chicago, Noyes

Someone stole a 24-inch, 27-speed North Face bicycle with gold handlebars that was locked to a rack in the 1400 block of Chicago Avenue between 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, and 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10, according to police.

Someone stole a silver men’s Huffy bicycle that was locked in the yard of a home in the 800 block of Noyes Street between 3:30 and 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, according to police.
