Coworker Threatens Fellow Employee With Gun

A man threatened his coworker with a gun at a hospital in the 2600 block of Ridge Avenue at 8:15 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, police reported.

Gunfire Reported On Dewey, Brummel

Police investigated a report that someone fired a gun in the 1100 block of Dewey Avenue at 9:29 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1. Nothing was found in the area.

Police investigated a report that someone fired a gun in the 800 block of Brummel Street at 6:27 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2. Nothing was found in the area. 

Arrests: Cannabis Possession, Theft, DUI

Brittany Lauren Jones, 23, of the zero block of Old Oak Drive in Buffalo Grove, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis at 7:17 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at Birchwood and Hoyne, police reported.

Cindy Lynn Jordan, 43, of the 1400 block of Chicago Avenue in Evanston, was arrested with criminal trespass at 3:33 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at the Evanston Public Library, 1703 Orrington Ave., according to police. 

Henry James Key, 72, of the 1500 block of West Morse in Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at 4:11 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, in the 2000 block of Dewey Avenue, according to police. 

Leonard Panion, 22, of the 4900 block of Enfield in Skokie, was arrested and charged with theft after he stole an Apple cell phone and cash from a woman’s purse at a restaurant in the 800 block of grove Street at 1 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, according to police. 

Tammie Sherell Talford, 36, of the 1600 block of West Juneway in Chicago, and Kelvin Lamark Withers, 38, of the 2400 block of Harrison in Chicago, were arrested and charged with retail theft after they stole food from a grocery store in the 2400 block of Howard Street between 1:09 and 1:16 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, police reported. 

Burglar Steals Bicycle, Stroller, Electrical Cord

Someone stole a 10-speed men’s bicycle, a double stroller and electrical drop cord from a garage that was left open in the 1800 block of Ashland Avenue between 11:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, and 8 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, according to police. 

Car Burglaries Reported On Greenwood, Sherman

Someone stole a Sprint cell phone, medication bottles and keys from a 2002 Honda that was parked at Oak Street and Greenwood Avenue between 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 30, and 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 31, police reported. 

Someone stole a Verizon iPhone, ski clothing and Oakley sunglasses from a 2001 Jeep parked in the 1500 block of Sherman Avenue between 9:35 and 10:08 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, police reported.

Tenant Moves Out, Steal Furniture

A woman stole a portable room heater and furniture when she moved out of an apartment in the 900 block of Grey Avenue between 10:41 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, and 10 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, police reported.

North Face Clothing Stolen From Motel

Someone stole North Face clothing, black cotton gloves and keys from a motel in the 1800 block of Maple Avenue at 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, police reported. 

Lock Cut, Credit Card Stolen From Locker

Someone cut the lock of a locker in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue and stole a credit card at 2:15 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, according to police.

Garbage Can, Safe Stolen From Church

Someone stole a 55-gallon Rubbermaid garbage can and 24” by 24” safe by entering the unlocked window of a church in the 1900 block of Darrow Avenue at 4:50 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, police reported.

Vandal Breaks Car Window On Grey

Someone used a brick to break the window of a 1997 Infiniti parked in the 2000 block of Grey Avenue between 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 31, and 5:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, according to police.
