A vehicle was taken by a known offender, police said, in the 2000 block of Howard at 12:45 p.m. Dec. 24.

Theft under $500

Someone took credit and debit cards from a mailbox in a condo common area in the 1400 block of Chicago Ave. between 11-12 a.m. Nov. 10.

Someone stole the handlebars and tires off a bicycle on the sidewalk in the 1200 block of Simpson Ave. around noon Dec. 26.

Someone stole diabetes medical supplies in a package delivered to an apartment building in the 800 block of Oakton St. between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Dec. 14.

Someone broke the window in a door in an apartment building common area in the 800 blcok of Case St. at 11:45 p.m. Dec. 26.
