Arrests: Cannabis, Violating an Order of Protection

Thomas Emerson Foorman 20, of the 700 block of Lincoln in Winnetka, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis in the 1300 block of Chicago Avenue at 7:16 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, police reported.

Samuel F. Miller, 74, was arrested and charged with violating an order of protection in the 2200 block of Lake Street at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, according to police.

Two men broke a window with a golf club, then drove into the open door of their victim at 7:27 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at the intersection of Hartrey Avenue and Dempster Street, according to police. 

Man Slashes Victim’s Arm

A man slashed his victim’s arm with an unknown object at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, in the 1800 block of Lyons Street, police reported.

Red Matrix Stolen On Foster

Someone stole a red, four-door, 2004 Matrix Toyota with the license plate X645160 from the 700 block of Foster Street between 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, and 11:45 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, according to police. The car is missing the front portion of its bumper. 

Burglary from a Motor Vehicle

Someone stole a Canon camera and lens, a Sigma 200 millimeter camera lens and a Swiss Army black and grey backpack from the open window of a 2004 Subaru parked in the 1600 block of Fowler Avenue between 2 and 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, according to police. 

Thieves Steal Laptop, Tiffany Platters, Wallet, Purse, Phone

A man stole a 15” Dell laptop computer from a home in the 800 block of Seward Street at 3:42 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, police reported. 

A resident of the 1600 block of Dodge Avenue noticed that Tiffany crystal serving platters had gone missing from the home between July 15 and Sept. 4, according to police. 

A pickpocket stole someone’s wallet at East Railroad and University Place between 12:35 and 12:45 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, police reported. 

Someone stole a brown leather Coach wallet from a locked area of a public building in the 900 block of Noyes Street between 3:40 and 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, police reported. 

A man stole Apple iPhones from a locked storage area in the 700 block of Church Street between July 3 and Sept. 5, police reported. 

Bikes Stolen on Church, Ridge

Someone stole a 21-speed ladies Schwinn bicycle with hand brakes that was locked up at Maple Avenue and Church Street between 7 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24, and 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept 2, police reported.

Someone stole a 59-centimeter men’s Kona bike with an orange lock on its frame that was locked up in the common area of an apartment or condo in the 2200 block of Ridge Avenue between Aug. 25 and Sept. 4, according to police.

Shots Fired on Main, Grey

Police investigated a report that someone had fired a gun in the 1300 block of Main Street at 5:06 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6. Nothing was found in the area.
