Men Steal iPhone, Punch Victim

Men Steal Phone, Punch Victim

Two men stole an iPhone from another man as he was walking in the 1600 block of Dodge Street at 4:18 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, according to police. When the victim tried to take his phone back, one of the men punched him, police said.

Arrests: Battery, Retail Theft

Walter B. Cropper, 47, of the 1600 block of Madison Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with violating an order of protection in the 1600 block of Madison Street at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, according to police. He was subsequently charged with battery at the police station that same day.

Ruthie May McKinnie, 57, of the 2900 block of West Jarvis Street in Chicago, was arrested and charged with retail theft at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, after she stole clothing from a department store in the 2400 block of Main Street, police reported. 

Thief Steals Car Left Running On Lemar

Someone stole a gold, four-door, 1998 Infiniti that was left running in the 1800 block of Lemar Avenue at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, police reported. The license plate is A779750. 

Vandal Breaks Car Windows On Madison

Someone broke the windows of a 1998 Honda that was parked in an alley in the 700 block of Madison Street between 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, and 12:25 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, according to police.
