Woman Punches Victim, Steals Car On Lake Street

Vehicle hijacking

Police responded to a strong arm robbery in the 600 block of Lake Street on Feb. 22. According to the report, a woman punched the victim and took her vehicle. No arrests were made. 

Burglary

An HDTV was reported stolen from a home in the 600 block of Hartrey Avenue on Feb. 24. According to police, the offender(s) made entry through a window.

Shots fired

Police responded to a shots fired complaint in the 2000 block of Howard Street on Feb. 24 around 3:10 a.m. No arrests were made.

Stolen cell phone

A man reported his Apple iPhone stolen after an unknown offender took it from his hand in the 500 block of Main Street on Feb. 24 around 4:38 p.m.

Stolen metals

A homeowner in the 1100 block of Michigan Avenue reported that several pieces of metals were taken from his yard on Feb. 20.

Stolen catalytic convertor

A catalytic convertor was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Lake Avenue on Feb. 21. The part contains precious metals that can be sold for several hundred dollars.

Another catalytic convertor was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Kedzie Street on Feb. 21.

Home burglary

A home in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue was reported burglarized on Feb. 21. According to the report, an unknown amount of jewelry was taken from the home.

A home in the 1100 block of Foster Street was reported burglarized on Feb. 20. According to the report, an Apple laptop and iPad were taken from the home.

A home in the 1800 block of Hovland Court was reported burglarized on Feb. 15. According to the report, copper pipes and an air conditioner were taken from the exterior of the property.

Graffiti

Police observed gang graffiti in the 300 block of Dodge Avenue on Feb. 23.

Police observed gang graffiti in the 2400 block of Main Street on Feb. 23.

Police observed gang graffiti in the 800 block of Main Street on Feb. 19.

Credit card fraud

Stephanie Brown-Antoinette, 26, of Chicago, was charged with credit card fraud on Feb. 22. Brown was arrested in the 5600 block of Old Orchard Road around 10:50 a.m.

Simple assault

Lee Cardale, 55, of Evanston, was charged with one count of simple assault on Feb. 23 around 10:25 a.m. Cardale was arrested in the 2300 block of Noyes Court, police said.

Joseph Norman, 47, of Evanston, was charged with one count of simple assault on Feb. 20. Norman was arrested in the 1700 block of Grey Avenue around 4 p.m.

Simple battery

Tremaine Strudivant, 24, of Evanston, was charged with simple battery on Feb. 24. Strudivant was arrested outside his home in the 700 block of Dobson Street around 4:30 p.m.
