North Shore DUI Roundup: Dec. 21-27 Edition

NORTHBROOK

On Dec. 22, officers stopped David Sandroian, 31, of Park Ridge, for a traffic violation near Shermer and Lee roads, and discovered he was DUI, according to police. He was charged with DUI, speeding, improper lane usage, no front license plate and failure to notify of address change, police say.

BUFFALO GROVE

Timothy R. Gleason, 37, of the 400 block of Whitaker Trail, McHenry, was charged with driving under the influence and speeding at 10:42 p.m. Dec. 19 at Deerfield Parkway and Green Knolls.

Starlight N. Domrese, 33, of the 1400 block of Winslowe Drive, Palatine, was charged with driving under the influence, driving too fast for conditions and damage to village property at 11:30 p.m. Dec. 19 at Aptakisic Road and Brandywyn Lane.

NILES

Anthony Fleming, 24, of Des Plaines, was charged with DUI Dec. 18 when police saw him driving 59 mph northbound on Greenwood Avenue. Police said Fleming pulled into a convenience store/gas station, and tried to pump gasoline into his car but appeared to be having trouble maintaining his balance and had to lean against his car. A police officer pulled behind Fleming's car and activated the camera. Fleming told the officer he had had three or four bottles of Coors Light at a bar. As police placed Fleming in the back of the squad car, he asked, "Am I on 'Cops?'" His court date is Jan. 10 in the Skokie branch of the Cook County courts.

HIGHLAND PARK

Katherine Daum, 28, of Highland Park was arrested Friday and charged with driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia, no valid driver’s license and disobeying a stop sign after being stopped by police in the 1600 block of Sunnyside Avenue, according to Highland Park Police reports. She was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court on Jan 25 in Waukegan.

Ronnie Nicholson, 27, of Waukegan was arrested Dec. 19 and charged with speeding, driving under the influence, aggravated driving under the influence with no valid driver’s license, aggravated fleeing and eluding, reckless driving, driving while license revoked and open transportation of alcohol after Nicholson fled from a traffic stop by police in the 2600 block of Skokie Valley Road, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was transported to Lake County Criminal Court in Waukegan for a bond hearing.

EVANSTON

Jose A. Abonce, 21, of Chicago, was charged with DUI in the 1900 block of Brummel Dec. 24 at 9 p.m.

Andre M. Botbamal, 39, of Zion, was charged with DUI in the 2500 block of Sheridan Rd. at 5:40 a.m. Dec. 25.
