The following are DUI arrests reported in our North Shore Patch sites in the past week.
Corey Davis. 20, of Waukegan was arrested Nov. 4 and charged with driving under the influence, possession of cannabis and driving while license suspended after being stopped by police in the 2600 block of Skokie Valley Road, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court on Dec. 20 in Waukegan.
Daniel Iracheta, 27, of Cicero was arrested Friday and charged with driving under the influence, uninsured motor vehicle, improper lane usage, failure to signal, speeding, possession of a stolen motor vehicle and unlawful use of drivers license after being stopped by police in the 1600 block of Deerfield Road, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was transported to bond court in Waukegan.
Konstantin Borisov, 44, of Highland Park was arrested Sunday and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage and after being stopped by police near Green Bay Road and Deerfield Road, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court on Dec. 13 in Waukegan.
Jake Melle, 34, of Highland Park was arrested Monday and charged with driving under the influence after police on routine patrol located a vehicle running with the door open and Melle passed out behind the wheel in the 1200 block of Park Avenue West, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court on Dec. 20 in Waukegan.
Kimberly Mariano, 30, of Chicago was arrested Friday for driving under the influence of drugs, possession of cannabis, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding, according to Bannockburn Police reports.
After clocking Mariano driving 54 miles per hour in a 40-mile-per-hour zone on Half Day Road, police stopped her at Lakeside Drive. After stopping her, police smelled a strong odor of cannabis. A search turned up both marijuana and drug equipment. She agreed to complete a DUI kit. She was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court at 9 a.m. Dec. 11 in Waukegan.
Yusof Mjili, 39, of the 1600 block of Monroe Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with aggravated driving under the influence in the 1300 block of Patriot Boulevard in Glenview at 12:27 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, according to Glenview police. He was also charged with driving under the influence, obstructing a peace officer, possession of a suspended license, driving with a suspended license failure to signal when required, police reported.
Mitchell Block, 42, of the 1600 block of Dartmouth Lane in Deerfield, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage at 12:37 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, in the 3200 block of Westview Drive in Glenview, Glenview police reported.
Zenichiro Kai, 44, of the 300 block of Town Place in Buffalo Grove, was charged with DUI and Speeding. The stop occurred at on Nov. 8 near Lake Cook Road and Milwaukee Avenue.
Ankeet D. Patel, 29, of Des Plaines was charged with DUI Nov. 2 just before 3 a.m. in the 8800 block of Milwaukee Avenue, Niles. Police said his gray Nissan Altima was traveling 50 mph in a 35 mph zone, and when they stopped him, the officer could smell alcohol on his breath, according to the report. When asked if he had drunk alcohol, Patel said no, but that he had had a few burgers at White Castle. He showed impairment on field sobriety tests, the report indicated. His court date is Dec. 11 in the Skokie branch of the Cook County courts.
Michael Przybylski, 60, of Skokie, was charged with DUI Nov. 2 just before 1:15 a.m. at Dempster and Oriole, Niles. Police on patrol observed him swerving in and out of his lane and driving 50 mph in a 35 mph zone, according to the report. When stopped, police said they detected an extreme odor of alcohol on his breath. Asked if he had drunk alcohol, he responded "I drank 6 Miller High Life bottles." "I started drinking around 6:30 PM and finished about a hour ago." He showed impairment on field sobriety tests, police said. He was also cited for speeding and improper lane usage; his court date is Dec. 20.
Erwan Flores, age 23, of Niles was stopped Nov. 3 at Dempster and Lincoln for traffic violations, police said, and was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and without a valid DL. Court date is scheduled for 12/02/13.
On Nov. 9, Abraham J. Roskin, 23, of Highland Park, was stopped for a traffic violation and determined to be DUI, according to police. He was charged with DUI over .08, expired registration and driving with no insurance, police say.
On Nov. 9, a stationary officer parked on Willow Road heard a crash nearby and investigated the noise, according to police. The officer found a black, Ford, SUV wedged up against a concrete median barrier on Willow, according to the report.
The Ford then left the scene and hit a nearby construction barrel before the officer was able to stop him, police say. The driver, Margarito Castrejon-Jancinto, 26, of Wheeling, only produced a Mexican driver's license and had no insurance, according to police.
Inside, two open beer bottles were also found, police say. The driver was charged with felony DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving without a valid license and no insurance, according to the report.
