Glenview's Yueh-Hsun “Gary” Tsai, 36, pleaded not guilty to federal conspiracy charges on Tuesday, denying his involvement in ongoing efforts to circumvent American trade laws and export weapons of mass destruction to North Korea, CBS 2 reports.

Tsai, a Taiwanese native and a legal permanent U.S. resident, was arrested at his Glenview home in May. His father, Hsien Tai Tasi, also known as “Alex Tsai,” 67, was arrested the same day in Estonia.

The men are accused of supporting the Korea Mining Development Trading Corporation (KOMID), which was designated as a WMD proliferator by President George W. Bush in June 2005.
