Police: 8 Cars Burglarized In 4 Days

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:

Man Charged With DUI On Clark

Chad Michael Garson, 40, of the 800 block of Davis Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at 3:45 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, in the 700 block of Clark Street, according to police. 

Car Burglaries on Mulford, Florence, South, Hinman

Someone stole a Garmin GPS and cash from a 2010 Ford parked in the 1500 block of Mulford Street between 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, and 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, according to police. 

A car burglary was reported to a 2007 Honda parked in the 300 block of Florence Avenue between 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, and 7:10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, according to police. 

Someone stole a Chase bank checkbook from a 2006 Chrysler that was left unlocked in the 1500 block of South Boulevard between 4 and 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, according to police.

Someone stole house and vehicle keys from an unlocked 2011 Toyota parked in the 1500 block of South Boulevard between 4 and 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, police reported.

Someone damaged the front passenger window of a 2004 Mazda and 2008 Nissan that were parked in an apartment lot in the 800 block of Hinman Avenue between 12 a.m. and 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, according to police.

Someone damaged the front passenger window of a car in the 1700 block of Hinman Avenue and stole a GPS unit between 9 and 11:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, according to police.

Someone damaged the front passenger window of a 2006 Kia in the 1700 block of Hinman Avenue and stole a GPS unit and Samsung headphones at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, police reported.

Thief Steals Purse From Gym Locker

Someone stole a purse with its contents from a locked gym locker in the 1600 block of Sherman avenue between 10:51 and 11:53 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, police reported. 

Vandal Dents Garage On Leonard

Someone left three dents on a garage in the 1400 block of Leonard Place between 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, and 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, according to police. 

Driver’s Side Mirror Damaged On Barton

Someone damaged the driver’s side mirror of a 1999 Chrysler parked in the 400 block of Barton Avenue between 2 and 9:45 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, police reported.
