Police: 87-year-old Man Carjacked in Jewel Parking Lot
Three men reportedly physically removed the victim from his vehicle.
said they are investigating a carjacking that took place early Saturday in the Jewel Foods parking lot, 2485 Howard St.
An 87-year-old man told police that he had fallen asleep in his vehicle when a teenage male knocked on his window and ordered him to get out, according to a police press release.
Police said that when the victim would not comply, two more men appeared and removed the victim from his vehicle. All three suspects then got in the car and drove off.

According to police, the victim was not injured and the vehicle was later recovered by the Illinois State Police after it had been abandoned with minor damage near the intersection of I-94 and I-55.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident and have provided a description of the three suspects to other local law enforcement agencies.
