Police Arrest 4 Teens In Connection With Home Burglary

Arrests were made after a burglary in the 2600 block of Prairie Avenue.

Police arrested four teenagers ages 14 through 17 on Saturday in connection with a residential burglary that took place in the 2600 block of Prairie Avenue.

Officers were called to the scene of the burglary just after it occurred around 10:30 a.m. Saturday, according to a press release from the Evanston Police Department. Upon searching the area, they were able to locate and arrest the four teenagers, all of whom had run away on foot in separate directions.

Police recovered two laptop computers from the teens, and arrested three of them on charges of residential burglary. They released the fourth without charges while the investigation continues.

Among the individuals charged, one lives in Evanston, one in Des Plaines and one in Wheeling, according to police.
