Police Arrest Evanston Teens in Connection with 4 Burglaries

The teens were charged with four counts of burglary and one teen was also charged with residential burglary, Evanston police said.


Evanston police have charged two teens with four counts of burglary stemming from car burglaries that occurred on Sunday May 26, police said. 

Witnesses identified Paul R. Downs, 18, and Marshawn Q. Page, 17, as the two offenders in the two car burglaries that took place around 8 p.m. in the 1700 block of Keeney Street and 2000 block of Washington Street, according to Evanston police. 

Police recovered property from one of the teens that linked him to another car burglary reported in the 1700 block of Greenwood Street and found more information linking the two teens to another car burglary in the 2100 block of Washington Street, police said. 

Marshawn Q. Page, 17 of the 1900 block of Dodge Ave., Evanston, was charged with four counts of burglary, a Class 2 Felony. 

Paul R. Downs, 18, of the 1600 block of Oakton St., Evanston, was charged with four counts of burglary, a Class 2 Felony, and residential burglary after police found evidence linking Downs to a residential burglary that happened in the 800 block of Brown Avenue on May 18, police said. 

The teens are scheduled to appear in Skokie court on June 3.
