Disobedience to Police

Police said a man who was suspected of marijuana possession swallowed the contraband before police could find it. Gary E. Pryor, 30, of Chicago was pulled over for driving his white 2010 Toyota through a stop sign at 2:25 a.m. on Aug. 2 at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Main Street. Police said they smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle, so they asked Pryor to step out of the vehicle and open his mouth. He stepped out of the car, but refused to open his mouth. Instead, police said he ran around his vehicle, jumped back in the car and then swallowed the contraband. Pryor was arrested and charged with disobedience to police.
