Police Blotter Dec. 1: Woman Robbed on Dodge; Man Charged with Threatening Landlord

The following arrest information was supplied by the Evanston Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The following items are taken from the Evanston Police Department. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

 

Robbery

Two men knocked a woman to the ground and stole cash and her purse at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday on the 1400 block of Dodge Avenue.

Assault

A man allegedly threatened his landlord at 12:31 p.m. on Wednesday on the 2100 block of Dewey Avenue. Armando Castillo, 37, of Evanston was arrested and charged with assault. His court date is set for Dec. 14.

A woman allegedly assaulted someone in a domestic dispute at a house on the 1300 block of Washington Street at 10:23 p.m. on Tuesday. Joefe M. Moulinier, 42, of Evanston was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. Her court date is set for Wednesday.

Burglary

A male reportedly broke into an unlocked 2006 Ford and stole cash and a purse between 8:03 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday on the 1800 block of Laurel Avenue. The suspect is a black male about 5-foot-4 and 130 pounds.

 

Theft

A silver 2010 Nissan was stolen from an auto sales lot on the 1000 block of Chicago Avenue between Nov. 10 and Tuesday.

A man allegedly stole liquor from the Dominick's supermarket on the 1900 block of Dempster Street at 9:11 p.m. on Wednesday. Nashawn D. Legrone, 27, of Evanston was arrested and charged with retail theft. His court date is set for Jan. 11.

A man reportedly stole cash in a domestic dispute between 9 a.m. on Nov. 13 and 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday on the 2300 block of Noyes Court. The suspect is a black man about 5-foot-9 and 140 pounds.

Clothing delivered by the United Parcel Service was stolen from an apartment building lobby between 1:43 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Tuesday on the 800 block of Forest Avenue.

Driving under the Influence

Kellen Jackson, 28, of Evanston was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at 8 p.m. on Wednesday on the corner of Emerson Street and Dewey Avenue. His court date is set for Jan. 11.

Driving without a License

Tobias S. Salinas, 33, of Chicago was arrested and charged with driving without a valid license at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday on the corner of Oakton Street and Ridge Avenue. His court date is set for Dec. 21.

Eric R. Schroeder, 31, of Evanston was arrested and charged with driving without a valid license at 8:42 a.m. on Wednesday on the 400 block of Asbury Avenue. His court date is set for Feb. 23.
