Police Blotter Feb. 3: Camera Spots Thief at Target; Skokie Man Accused of Ramming Vehicle

An Hispanic man in his 20s was caught on camera stealing two RCA mp3 players from Target on Monday afternoon. Police said that at 4:45 p.m. on Jan. 31 he walked out of the store on the 2200 block of Howard Street, having removed the music players from their packaging. The suspect was described as a 5-foot-5 Hispanic man with brown hair who was wearing a white hoodie under a tan Army jacket, black pants and black shoes.
Several males came into the Mobil Gas station convenience store at 6:28 p.m. on Feb. 1 on the 100 block of Chicago Avenue and stole eight boxes of candy.

Criminal Damage to Property
A Skokie man has been arrested after being accused of ramming his car into another car in Evanston in November. Police detectives charged Edis Habibovic, 19, with felony criminal damage to property and aggravated assault at 3 p.m. on Feb. 2 at his home on the 3800 block of Harvard Terrace in Skokie. His court date is set for Feb. 15.
Arrest Warrant
James L. Boyd, 28, of Skokie was arrested on a warrant at 3:55 p.m. on Jan. 29 on the 700 block of Howard Street.
Driving Without Valid License
Christopher J. Garcia, 24, of Chicago was arrested and charged with driving without a valid license at 3:03 p.m. on Jan. 31 on the 300 block of Dodge Avenue. His court date is set for March 1.
Shaquill D. Green, 18, of Evanston was arrested and charged with driving without a valid license at 4:52 p.m. on Jan. 31 on the 3300 block of Main Street in Skokie. His court date is set for Feb. 14.
Terrance L. Scott, 29, of Chicago was arrested and charged with driving without a valid license at 3:40 p.m. on Jan. 29 on the 7500 block of North Clark Street in Chicago. His court date is set for March 1.
Jasmin N. Smith, 22, of Evanston was arrested and charged with driving without a valid license at 12:56 p.m. on Jan. 27 on the 200 block of Asbury Avenue. Her court date is set for March 14.
