Four 13-year-old Chicago boys were arrested and charged with robbery at 6:14 p.m. on Jan. 15 at the Davis El Station on the 1600 block of Benson Avenue. Police said the youths accosted a man on the Church Street sidewalk outside the El station, then forced him against the wall and surrounded him. Once pinned, they took an Apple iPhone from his pocket. A friend rushed to the victim's aid. Police said the boys then tried to rob the second man, but they got nothing from him before he started yelling and they ran south along the west side of the El tracks. Police were called, and after a canvass of the area, they found the four individuals who met the description given by the victims and arrested them. They are due to appear in juvenile court.
