Police Blotter March 4: Arrests Made in Battery at Walgreens, Shoplifting at Downtown CVS

A recap of crimes committed in Evanston.

The following items are taken from the Evanston Police Department. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

 

Battery

Joshua R. Mack, 36, of Evanston was arrested and charged with battery at 5:07 p.m. on March 2 at the Walgreens on the 2100 block of Green Bay Road. His court date is set for March 9.

Theft

Yovannda R. Curry, 40, of Chicago was arrested and charged with retail theft at 1:20 p.m. on Feb. 29 at CVS/pharmacy on the 1700 block of Sherman Avenue. Her court date is set for March 15.

A woman hung her purse on the back of her chair at 12:15 p.m. on March 3 at a place on the 1700 block of Sherman Avenue. When she left at 12:45 p.m., her wallet was missing.

 

Unlawful Use of Weapon

Troy M. Marshall, 25, of Evanston was arrested and charged with unlawful use of a weapon at 3:03 p.m. on March 1 on the 1100 block of McDaniel Avenue. His court date is set for March 15.

 

Domestic Battery

A 30-year-old woman was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 5:30 p.m. on March 2 at Walgreens on the 2100 block of Green Bay Road. Her court date is set for March 9.

 

Driving under the Influence

Ricardo Moreno, 35, of Chicago was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at 12:15 a.m. on March 2 at the intersection of Sheridan Road and Millburn Street. His court date is set for March 28.

 

Forgery

A 17-year-old Evanston resident was arrested and charged with forgery at 8:35 p.m. on March 2 on the 1800 block of Dempster Street.

 

Driving without a License

Shirley Barnett, 47, of Skokie was arrested and charged with driving without a valid license at 5:40 a.m. on March 3 on the the 1400 block of Emerson Street. Her court date is set for April 14.

Patrecea Barranco, 44, of Chicago was arrested and charged with driving without a valid license at 3:17 p.m. on March 3 on the 1600 block of Orrington Avenue. Her court date is set for March 28.

Juan A. Garcia-Bucio, 26, of Chicago was arrested and charged with driving without a valid license at 10:25 a.m. on March 2 on the 700 block of Oakton Avenue. His court date is set for April 14.

Gerardo Rojas-Mandujano, 30, of Evanston was arrested and charged with driving without a valid license at 1:50 p.m. on March 3 on the 2300 block of Cowper Avenue. His court date is set for April 14.

 

Violation of Probation

Isaac Haygood, 34, of Chicago was arrested and charged with violating the terms of his probation at 7:52 a.m. on March 2 on the 300 block of Dempster Street. His court date is set for March 9.
