Police Blotter Nov. 11: Teen Charged with October Lotto Ticket Robbery; Harassment Reported at 7-Eleven

The following arrest information was supplied by the Evanston police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The following items are taken from the Evanston Police Department. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

 

Robbery

A 17-year-old Evanston boy was arrested and charged as an adult with an October aggravated robbery at 10:45 p.m. on Wednesday on the 2300 block of Foster Street. At 7:45 p.m. on Oct. 25, the teen allegedly drew a gun, and with a 16-year-old accomplice, pinned a bicyclist against a car on the 2300 block of Emerson Street. The 16-year-old, who was charged as a juvenile, then rifled through the cyclist's pockets and stole two lottery tickets. The boys then ran away. A court date for the 17-year-old is set for next Thursday.

Assault & Battery

Police were called to the 7-Eleven on a report of assault between 7 p.m. and 7:40 p.m. on the 800 block of Davis Street. The feud was between two female co-workers and involved harassment stretching back to May.

 

Burglary

A lawn mower was stolen from a garage on the 300 block of Darrow Avenue between 6 p.m. on Wednesday and 3:20 p.m. on Thursday.

A second lawn mower was stolen from an unlocked garage at the same time on the 300 block of Dewey Avenue.

A burglar damaged the front side window of a 2000 Toyota and stole a GPS device and a cell phone cord between 4 a.m.on Tuesday and 1 p.m.on Thursday on the 800 block of Hinman Avenue.

Theft

A man allegedly stole lighters from the Jewel-Osco grocery on the 2400 block of Howard Street at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Clarence S. Dean, 18, of Evanston was arrested and charged with retail theft. His court date is set for Nov. 23.

A man stole steel hand rails from a construction site between noon and 2:50 p.m.on Thursday on the 700 block of Chicago Avenue.

A backpack and cash worth a total of more than $500 were stolen off the sidewalk on the 1500 block of Florence Avenue at 7:25 a.m. on Thursday.

A yellow Dyson Ball vacuum was stolen from an apartment common area between noon on Sept. 26 and 7 a.m. on Sept. 27 on the 1500 block of Sherman Avenue.

Air conditioner covers were reported stolen from an apartment common area at 5:32 p.m. on Thursday on the 600 block of Mulford Street.

A bike was stolen from a cage on the 2400 block of Prairie Avenue between 8:30 a.m. and 3:35 p.m. on Wednesday.

A locked blue and white Schwinn bicycle was reported stolen at 9 a.m. on Monday on the 1100 block of Garnett Place.

Vandalism

A man damaged the back door of an apartment on the 200 block of Ridge Avenue between 8 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.

Drug Dealing

Jamal T. Sutton Malone, 18, of Evanston was arrested and charged with the manufacture or delivery of a small amount of drugs at 12:06 a.m. on Thursday on the 100 block of Ridge Avenue. His court date is set for Dec. 14.

Driving under the Influence

Shelikea L. Hudson, 37, of Chicago was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 3:18 a.m. on Wednesday on the corner of Custer Avenue and Seward Street. Her court date is set for Dec. 1.

Frank H. Young, 62, of Evanston was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 8:25 p.m. on Thursday on the 1500 block of Central Street. His court date is set for Dec. 21.

Open Container

Audrey R. Harris, 46, of Chicago was arrested and charged with consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle at 3:28 a.m. on Tuesday on the 600 block of Custer Avenue. Her court date is set for Dec. 2.

Driving without a License

Mayra G. Cuito, 34, of Chicago was arrested and charged with driving without a valid license at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday on the 800 block of Chicago Avenue. Her court date is set for Dec. 27.

Patrick D. Dolan, 46, of Evanston was arrested and charged with driving without a valid license at 6:23 p.m. on Thursday on the 1300 block of Grove Street. His court date is set for Nov. 23.

Charles A. Turner, 37, of Evanston was arrested and charged with driving without a valid license at 3:55 p.m. on Wednesday on the 800 block of Dodge Avenue. His court date is set for Dec. 21.

Jesus Valadez-Arevalo, 35, of Evanston was arrested and charged with driving without a valid license at 9:20 a.m. on Thursday on the corner of Golf Road and McCormick Boulevard. His court date is set for Dec. 21.

Auteshia A. Williams, 25, of Evanston was arrested and charged with driving without a valid license at 3:50 a.m. on Thursday on the 1900 block of Green Bay Road. Her court date is set for Dec. 27.
