Police Blotter Nov. 16: Three Arrested in Mob Action; Cash Stolen from Church

The following items are taken from the Evanston Police Department. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Mob Action
Three males and a female allegedly battered someone as part of a mob action at 3:25 p.m. on Monday on the corner of Church Street and Dodge Avenue.William K. Eason, 36, of Evanston; Chanelle L. Guy, 32, of Evanston and a 17-year-old Evanston boy were arrested. Eason was charged with mob action while Guy and the boy were charged with aggravated battery. A third male suspect was not arrested. The court date for the three who have been charged was set for Dec. 1.

Burglary
A burglar damaged the door to a church on the 600 block of Lake Street and stole cash from inside between 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
A burglar broke into an apartment through an unlocked kitchen window and stole a 15-1/2-inch laptop computer, a 13-inch Insignia flat-screen televsion and a Sony PlayStation between 3:30 p.m. and 4:10 p.m. on Tuesday.
A burglar damaged a passenger window of a 2005 Dodge and stole cash and a Garmin GPS device from the vehicle between 9 p.m. on Friday and 2:15 a.m. on Saturday on the 1700 block of Cleveland Street.
A burglar damaged a passenger window of a 1997 Toyota and stole a Garmin GPS device from the car between 6:30 p.m. on Monday and 9:20 a.m. on Tuesday in a parking lot on the 800 block of Hinman Avenue.
A burglar damaged a passenger window of a 2001 Toyota between 5 p.m. on Monday and 9:20 a.m. on Tuesday in a parking lot on the 800 block of Hinman Avenue. Nothing was reported missing.
Arrest Warrant
Lindsey M. Harnicker, 26, of Chicago was arrested on a warrant at 4:10 p.m. on Sunday on the 5600 block of North Clark Street in Chicago.
Theft
A locked, off-white girls' Jamis Beatnik fixie bicycle was stolen between 8 p.m. on Sunday and 9:45 a.m. on Monday on the 1400 block of Chicago Avenue.
Vandalism
A garage was tagged with graffiti between 10:47 a.m. and 11:04 a.m. on Nov. 9 on the 2000 block of Brown Avenue.
Shots Fired
Gun shots were heard on the 2000 block of Emerson Street between 11:34 p.m. and 11:35 p.m. on Friday.
