Police Blotter Nov. 29: Man Kicks in Apartment Door; Burglars Take TV

The following arrest information was supplied by the Evanston Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The following items are taken from the Evanston Police Department. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Vandalism

A man allegedly kicked in a door to an apartment during a domestic dispute on the 1900 block of Jackson Avenue at 4:36 p.m. on Saturday. Corey A. Neealy, 28, of Chicago was arrested and charged with criminal damage to property and criminal trespassing on the 1600 block of Greenleaf Street. His court date is set for Dec. 7

Disorderly Conduct

Carlos Orozco, 27, of Evanston was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct during a domestic dispute at 5:54p.m. on Saturday on the 1900 block of Grey Avenue. His court date is set for Dec. 7.

 

Burglary

Burglars broke a window to a house while pushing in the A/C window unit and stole a $1,000 42-inch Sigma flat-screen television between Nov. 6 and Nov. 23 on the 1400 block of Foster Street. The house had been empty and the house-sitter did not immediately notice the damage.

A burglar broke into an apartment and stole a Playstation with four video games at 9 a.m. on Monday on the 1300 block of Darrow Avenue.

Domestic Battery

A 20-year-old Evanston man was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 4 p.m. on Sunday on the 200 block of Asbury Avenue. His court date is set for Dec. 7.

Drug Possession

Amber B. Jones, 19, of Evanston was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance at 4 p.m. on Sunday on the 200 block of Asbury Avenue. Police said they searched her apartment after a domestic disturbance call and found she had more than two ounces of marijuana, an ounce and a half of psilocybin mushrooms, three grams of LSD, eight grams of hydrocodone and one gram of MDMA. Her court date is set for Dec. 7.

 

Arrest Warrant

Joseph A. Baines, 31, of Chicago was arrested on a warrant at 11:19 a.m. on Nov. 22 at the Evanston Police Station.

Diego Gomez, 19, of Evanston was arrested on a warrant at 10:50 p.m. on Nov. 22 on the 1900 block of Dempster Street.

Driving without a License

Stephanie M. Montgomery, 20, of Evanston was arrested and charged with driving without a valid license at 10 p.m. on Monday on the 500 block of Ridge Avenue. Her court date is set for Jan. 19.

Salvador J. Palafox, 25, of Chicago was arrested and charged with driving without a valid license at 3:32 p.m. on Monday on the 1900 block of Darrow Avenue. His court date is set for Dec. 14.

Cleophus A. Williams, 37, of Evanston was arrested and charged with driving without a valid license at 4:44 p.m. on Sunday on the 1900 block of Dempster Street. His court date is set for Dec. 29.
