Police Blotter Sept. 10: A Minor Gets a Tattoo, Bikes are Stolen

A recap of crimes reported in Evanston.

The following items are taken from the Evanston Police Department. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

TATTOOING A MINOR

Saul Isaac Rivera, 34, of 9014 Bennett, Skokie, was arrested at 1454 Elmwood in Evanston on Sept. 9 at 4:48 p.m. and was charged with tattooing a minor. A court date has been set for Oct. 8 at 10:30 a.m.

BATTERY

Nashawn Darnell Legrone, 26, of Evanston, was arrested at his home on the 1000 block of Darrow at 6 p.m. on Sept. 9 and charged with battery.  A court date has been set for Sept. 21 at 9 a.m.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

An unknown subject or subjects gained entry to a residence on the 2100 block of Ridge and stole three TVs and jewelry.  The incident occurred at an unknown time between Aug. 21 and Sept. 9.

BURGLARY

An unknown subject or subjects forced entry to a business by breaking the glass in the front door and getting past a locked gate on the 700 block of Main on Sept. 9 between 5:00 and 5:21 a.m.  The suspect or suspects stole a Fender electric guitar.

THEFT

An unknown subject or subjects stole a bicycle from a commercial storage area on the 500 block of Michigan on Sept. 5 at 6:00 p.m.  The stolen bike is a green and grey Trek.

Another bicycle was stolen on Sept. 9 at 7:45 p.m. on the 1000 block of Wesley.  An unknown subject or subjects took the bike, which was unlocked, from the front of a residence.  The bike is a blue Trek 700.

Yet another bicycle was stolen, this one from a secured bike rack on the 1600 block of Dodge. An unknown subject or subjects took it on Aug. 31 between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. The bike is a blue and black Schwinn.
