Police Charge 14-Year-Old With Burglary

14-Year-Old Charged With Burglary On Emerson

Evanston police charged a 14-year-old Evanston resident with burglary in connection with an incident that took place around 1:50 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, in the 2000 block of Emerson Street. Police said that a resident came home to find someone had cut the screen and entered the house through a bedroom window. The offender ran away when the homeowner discovered the teen was in the house, according to police.

Man Steals Gun From Home On Foster

A man opened the bedroom door of a home in the 2200 block of Foster Street using a key and stole a black, high-point, 9-millimeter rifle with a pistol grip at 8:46 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, police reported.

Someone stole clothing and gifts from an apartment in the 2000 block of Howard Street between 4:30 and 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, police reported.

Volkswagen Keys, Remote Stolen From Car

Someone stole a set of Volkswagen keys with a remote and a set of house keys from an unlocked 2008 Volkswagen parked in an alley in the 1600 block of Payne Street between 8:15 and 5:40 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, according to police. 

Cars Burglarized on Asbury, Callan, Oakton

Someone broke the window of a 2003 Toyota parked in the 100 block of Asbury Street and stole cash at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, police reported.

Someone broke the window of a 2005 Nissan parked in the 300 block of Callan Avenue and stole a Garmin GPS, clothing and cosmetics between 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, and 5:35 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, according to police. 

Someone broke the window of a 1998 Toyota parked in the 600 block of Oakton Street but stole nothing between 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, and 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, police reported. 

Man Steals Phone With Butterflies On Case

A man stole a white Apple cell phone in a case with butterflies that was left unattended at a business in the 1100 block of Church Street between 11:15 and 11:20 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, according to police.

Vandal Breaks Bus Window on Dodge

A man broke the window of a bus in the 1600 block of Dodge Street between 3:45 and 3:50 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, police reported. 

Man Charged With Possession of Cannabis

Andre S. Stinette, 32, of the 1600 block of Davis Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, in the 1400 block of Fowler Street, police reported.
