Police: Man Charged With Battery Of Woman Hired For Sexual Services

Several callers reported that there was a woman lying on the ground, bleeding from the back of her head in a Hinman Avenue apartment building.

Police arrested a 41-year-old Evanston man after they found a woman he had allegedly hired for sexual services bleeding from a wound on the back of her head on Saturday, Aug. 11.

Several people called police to report that a woman was lying on the ground, bleeding from her head on the seventh floor of an apartment building in the 800 block of Hinman Avenue. When police arrived at 4:06 p.m., the injured woman was "uncooperative" and "visibly disturbed," according to a press release from the Evanston Police Department.

Officers arrested John Dotson, of the 800 block of Hinman Avenue, a suspect who "refused to cooperate," according to the release. Dotson had apparently hired the woman to perform sexual services, police said. He was charged with battery, a misdemeanor.
