Police: Man Punched in the Head, Robbed of Laptop at South Blvd. CTA Station

The laptop was later recovered and two teenagers were charged with robbery, police said.

A man was using his Mac laptop computer on a north bound CTA purple line train Thursday when a teenager punched him in the forehead, took the computer, and exited the train, police said.

The attack and robbery occurred at the South Blvd. train station at 4:16 p.m., police said. They said a second teenager held the train door open for the offender, assisting him in the robbery. The victim told police he saw a third offender join the two men as they ran out of the train station.

Evanston police located the three suspects near the Howard St. and Paulina St. area in Chicago. As the officers approached the suspects, they all fled on foot.
