Police: Man Stabbed in Alley on Hovland

The following information was reported by the Evanston Police Department on Monday, June 17, 2013. Where arrests are included, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:

Stabbing in Alley on Hovland

A 21-year-old Evanston man was stabbed multiple times in an alley in the 1800 block of Hovland Court between 5 and 6:45 a.m. Sunday, June 16, police reported.

The man was battered by multiple people before fleeing to his home, where he discovered he was stabbed, police said. He sustained minor injuries to his right leg and was taken to Evanston Hospital for treatment.

The victim is not cooperating with the police investigation at this time, according to police.

Gunfire Reported On Dobson

Police investigated a report that someone fired a gun in the 1400 block of Dobson Street at 7:50 p.m. Saturday, June 15. Nothing was found in the area.

Arrests: Theft, Cannabis

Brandon J. Blaylock, 37, and Jesse D. Healy, 37, both of the 3400 block of Linton Road in Lake Geneva, were arrested and charged with theft of lost property at 1:15 a.m. Saturday, June 15, in the 1800 block of Chicago Avenue, police reported.

Christopher L. Carter, 28, of the 200 block of Callan Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with theft Saturday, June 15, in the 2000 block of Brown Avenue, according to police.

Robert J. Bdunn, 58, of the 2100 block of Washington in Wilmette, was arrested and charged with retail theft at 5:30 p.m. Friday, June 14, in the 2700 block of Green Bay Road, police reported. 

Shawn D. Gavrielov, 21, of the 200 block of Aspen Lane in Highland Park, was arrested and charged with public urination at 1:10 a.m. Sunday, June 16, in the 1400 block of Sherman Avenue, according to police.

Gary Leshun Spearman, 18, of the 1800 block of Church in Evansotn, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis at 11:19 a.m. Friday, June 14, in the 1700 block of Brown Avenue, police reported.

Bobby L. Weatherspoon, 43, of the 1800 block of Main Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with retail theft at 4:16 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, in the 2400 block of Main Street, according to police.

A 23-year-old Chicago woman was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 12:40 p.m. Saturday, June 15, in Evanston, according to police.

Garages Burgled On Michigan, Noyes

Someone stole a 17.5” Trek men’s mountain bike with a tan bike seat from an unlocked garage in the 1000 block of Michigan Avenue between 4 p.m. Thursday, May 13, and 2 p.m. Saturday, May 15, according to police. 

Someone stole a brown and tan women’s mountain bike from an unlocked garage in the 1200 block of Noyes Street between 7 p.m. Saturday, June 15, and 8 a.m. Sunday, June 16, police reported. 

Bike Stolen From Porch On Garnett

Someone stole a red and white 26” men’s Trek mountain bike that was locked up on a porch in the 1100 block of Garnett Place between 9 p.m. Saturday, June 15, and 1 a.m. Sunday, June 16, according to police.

Cash Swiped From Car On Grey

Someone stole cash from an unlocked 1998 BMW parked in the 2200 block of Grey Avenue between 11 p.m. Saturday, June 8, and 6 a.m. Sunday, June 9, police reported. 

Theft: Wallet, Garbage Can

Someone stole a brown and red leather bi-fold wallet from a purse hanging on a chair at a restaurant in the 1700 block of Sherman Avenue between 12:45 and 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, according to police. 

Someone stole an Evanston lawn and leaf barrel from an alley in the 700 block of Ingleside Place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, police reported.

Video Games Stolen On Main

A man stole videogames from a store in the 2400 block of Main Street at 4:16 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, according to police.

Padlock-Thrower Damages Car

Someone threw a padlock and damaged the hood of a 2013 Hyundai at a gas station in the 1900 block of Green Bay Road at 9 p.m. Sunday June 16, according to police.
