Police: Teen Arrested With Burglary Tools

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department: 

Arrests: Possession of Burglary Tools, Etc.

A 33-year-old man was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 11:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, according to police.

Nathaniel Benjamin Walker, 18, of the 100 block of Callan Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with possession of burglary tools at the intersection of University Street and Maple Avenue 1:44 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, police reported.

Car Burglars Steal Computer, Cash

Someone stole an Apple Macbook Pro laptop, an Apple Macbook power cord and Scandisk 500 gigabyte external hard drive from an unlocked car in the 2100 block of Payne Street between 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, and 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, according to police.

Someone stole cash and a set of keys from a 2004 Nissan parked in an apartment lot in the 700 block of Dobson Street between 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, and 4:45 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, police reported.

Report of Shots Fired on Greenleaf

Police investigated a report that someone had fired a gun in the 300 block of Greenleaf Street at 9:31 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23. Nothing was found in the area.

Phone Wires Cut On Chicago, Dempster

Someone cut the phone wires to a business in the 1200 block of Chicago Avenue between 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, and 5:45 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22, according to police. 

Someone cut the phone wires to a business in the 500 block of Dempster Street between 8:45 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, and 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22, police reported. 

Someone cut the wires behind a home in the 1600 block of Forest Place between 10 and 11:50 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22, according to police. 

Car Window Smashed On Brummel

Someone smashed the window of a 1994 Suzuki parked in the 1000 block of Brummel Street between 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, and 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, according to police. 

Thief Steals City Vehicle Sticker

Someone stole a City of Evanston Lot 14 vehicle sticker from a car parked in the 1500 block of Sherman Avenue at 5:05 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, police reported.
