Purse Snatched in Armed Robbery on Custer

Armed robbery
A man displayed a gun and took a victim’s purse on South Custer Avenue at 10:20 p.m. on Sept. 23.

Police checked the 700 block of Florence Ave. at 10 a.m. on Sept. 24 after receiving a report of a man with a gun.

Jeffrey A. Marshall, 35, of Evanston, was arrested for battery on Sept. 24
Burglary
A computer hard drive was stolen from a medical office in the 2500 block of Ridge Ave. between Sept. 20 and 24.
Pick pocketing
A man bumped into a victim in the 1400 block of Chicago Ave. at 9:15 a.m. Sept. 24 and stole the persona’s wallet.
Criminal damage to property
The fencing at an apartment building on the 700 block of Noyes was damaged overnight on Sept. 22.
Fencing was also damaged on the same block between Sept. 22 and 23.
Theft
A cell phone that was left unattended was stolen from a restaurant in the 1700 block of Maple Ave. around 11 p.m. on Sept. 22.
Burglary from a motor vehicle
Tools, including a saw and drill, were stolen from a vehicle at Emerson and Darrow at 11 p.m. Sept. 23 through a broken window.
