Robbers Point Gun at Victim On Oakton

The following information was reported by Evanston Police on Monday, Oct. 7, 2013. Where arrests are included, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:

Gunfire Reported on Ashland

Evanston police investigated a report that someone fired a gun in the 100 block of Ashland Avenue at 4:55 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6. Nothing was found in the area.

Robbers Point Gun at Victim

Two men pointed a gun at their victim and went through his pockets in the 2400 block of Oakton Street between 3:38 and 4:15 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, according to police. They stole his wallet and cell phone, police said.

Arrests: Alcohol Ordinances, Possession of Fake ID

Cameron S. Diaz, 20, of the 2100 block of Church Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with violation of an alcohol ordinance at 7:42 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, at Foster Street and Grey Avenue, police reported.

Sade Sherrod, 19, of the 5600 block of South Green in Chicago, was arrested and charged with possession of a fraudulent ID at 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, at Sherwin and Skokie Boulevard, according to police.

Deshe L. Taylor, 22, of the 100 block of Asbury in Evanston, was arrested and charged with violation of an alcohol ordinance at 1:38 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, in the 1900 block of Jackson, police reported.

Cars Stolen on Monroe, Washington

Someone stole a black 2002 Volkswagen Jetta that was parked in the 1100 block of Monroe Street between 8 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, and 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, according to police. The license plate is 5597741.

Someone stole a four-door 1996 Honda with the license plate 5015449 from the 2200 block of Washington Street between 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, and 7 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, according to police.

Burglar Takes Purse On Dodge

Someone entered an unlocked apartment in the 1700 block of Dodge Avenue and stole a purse between 2:58 and 3:41 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, police reported.

Bikes Stolen On Benson, Ridge

Someone stole a black, red and silver men’s Raleigh bicycle that was locked to a storage rack in the 1600 block of Benson Avenue between 12 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, and 12 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, according to police.

Someone stole a Cambridge bicycle that was secured in an apartment or condo common area in the 2100 block of Ridge Avenue between 11:59 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, and 11:40 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, according to police.

Thief Steals Trumpet From Locker

Someone stole a trumpet from a gym locker in the 1000 block of Grove Street between 5:45 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, and 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, according to police.

License Plate Stolen On Hull

Someone stole an Illinois license plate from a 1994 Buick parked in the 600 block of hull between 9 a.m. and 6:20 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, according to police.

Graffiti Appears On Elmwood

Graffiti appeared on an apartment or condo common area in the 1500 block of Elmwood Avenue at 6:57 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, according to police.
