Robbers Punch Victim, Steal Wallet On Pitner

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:

Robbers Punch Victim, Steal Wallet, Phone

A man and a woman punched their victim, then stole his Motorola cell phone, keys and Louis Vuitton wallet containing credit cards at 10:43 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, in the 1200 block of Pitner Street, police reported.

Gunfire Reported On Central

Police investigated a report that someone had fired a gun in the 3100 block of Central Street at 8:55 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5. Nothing was found in the area. 

Arrests: Battery, Possession of Cannabis

Kirsten L. Anderson, 18, of the 800 block of South Boulevard in Evanston, was arrested and charged with battery at the police station at 3:40 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, police reported. 

Sherekhan O. Brandon, 26, of the 1900 block of West Pratt Street in Chicago, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis in the 1900 block of Dempster Street at 7:35 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, according to police. 

Christopher Da Silva Medrano, 19, of the 5100 block of Suffield in Skokie, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis Thursday, Jan. 4, at Central Street and Sheridan Road, according to police. 

A 17-year-old boy from Chicago was arrested and charged with burglary to a vehicle at 10:57 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, in the 500 block of South Boulevard, police reported. 

Man Steals Cash, Checks On Oakton

A man used a key to steal cash, Dr. Dre electronics and wedding cards containing cash or checks from an apartment in the 600 block of Oakton Street at 7:50 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, police reported. 

Car Burglaries Steals Purse On Seward

Someone entered an unlocked 2013 Chrysler parked in the 1600 block of Seward Street and stole a pink North Face canvas style purse between 4:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, and 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, according to police.

Catalytic Converter Stolen On Dodge

Someone stole a catalytic converter from a 2004 Chevrolet parked in a business lot in the 100 block of Dodge Avenue between 7:15 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, and 8:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 5, police reported.

Cash Stolen From Vending Machine

Someone stole cash from an unlocked vending machine in the common area of an apartment or condo in the 900 block of Washington Street between 12 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, and 2:42 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, according to police. 

Attempted Theft of Copper Downspout

Someone tried to remove the copper downspout from a home in the 300 block of Dempster Street between 12:01 and 9:45 a.m. Friday, Jan. 5, according to police. 

Man Damages Car Windshield

A man damaged the windshield of a 2004 Volvo parked in a residential driveway in the 900 block of Grey Avenue between 8:45 and 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, police reported. 

Man Steals Gift Bag From Drug Store

A man stole a gift bag from a drug store in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue at 2:20 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, according to police.
