The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:

Arrests: Criminal Trespass, Theft

Nelson Cruz, 29, of the 1400 block of Chicago Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with criminal trespass to a residence in the 400 block of Custer at 9:20 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, according to police.

Jordan Johnson, 20, of the 1500 block of Pitner in Evanston, was arrested and charged with theft under $500 at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, police reported.

Burglaries Reported On Hinman, Brummel

Someone stole a MacBook Pro laptop computer from an apartment in the 1600 block of Hinman Avenue between 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, and 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, according to police.

Someone entered the unlocked window of an apartment in the 800 block of Brummel Street between 3:15 and 3:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, police reported.

Six Car Burglaries in Evanston

Someone broke the window of a 2009 Cadillac parked in a garage in the 500 block of Kedzie between 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, and 8:10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, according to police.

Someone stole a Samsung cell phone from an unlocked 2012 Freightliner truck parked in the 700 block of Chicago Avenue at 12:01 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, police reported.

Someone stole a Samsung cell phone from an unlocked 2007 Mack truck parked in the 700 block of Custer Avenue at 12:56 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, police reported.

Someone broke the window of a Jeep parked in the 500 block of Kedzie Street and stole a Garmin GPS and cell phone charger between 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, and 8:53 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, according to police.

Someone entered an unlocked 2006 Dodge parked at Grant Street and Cowper Avenue between 8 and 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, according to police. Nothing was reported missing.

Someone broke the window of a 2001 Ford parked in the 2400 block of Noyes Street and stole various hand tools, a Milwaukee cordless drill in case and Skill drill with cord between 9:57 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, and 9:19 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, according to police.

Someone stole a white gold necklace with a small heart studied with rubies, a white gold chain with dagger, costume jewelry, hollow flowers with keys and a Louis Vuitton purse from a home in the 700 block of Sheridan Road between Aug. 14 and 26, according to police. The resident believes a cleaning service stole the items.

Bikes Stolen On Kedzie

Someone stole two Giant men’s mountain bicycles that were locked in a garage in the 500 block of Kedzie Street between 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, and 8:10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, according to police.

Cash Stolen From Locker

Someone stole cash from a gym locker in the 1000 block of Grove Street between 1:50 and 2:20 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, according to police.

Criminal Damage to Vehicle

Someone damaged the gas cover of a 1995 BMW parked in the 1700 block of Oak Avenue between 8:45 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, and 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, police reported.

Retail Theft On Chicago

A woman stole personal items from a grocery store in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue at 1:49 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, according to police.

Water Bottle Swiped From Bike

Someone stole a Schwinn water bottle holder from a bicycle in an apartment or condo common area in the 2200 block of Ridge Avenue between 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, and 10:45 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, according to police.
